the fat doggy

today i found a fat little doggy
walking on the grass
i bent down and patted it
it didn't make a fuss


i sat with it waiting for its master
a really long time went by
i took it home and gave it a drink
no surprise, tasha came and said hi


i tried calling it by all funny names
to none did she reply
when i sat at the doorstep to watch her cute manners
she did this! oh my:)

a little while later her ears started quirking
and a lady appeared at the stairs
"is this the one?" she asked another
the master: "thank goodness, yes!"

the fat little doggy wagged its tail in anticipation
and ran towards her master
the cute little one really made me smile
when she ran back and licked me, its finder

the owner had scaled every level by stairs
and alas her precious was found
seeing tears in her eyes i gave her a hug
and said "don't worry, it's all right now."
