goodness.
today was a good day=)
went home after school ended at 2pm to relax and get my bible study stuff. decided not to study in sch or else i haf to lug mr campbell along.
when i was on my way to bible study, i was waiting for 93 at macritchie. and suddenly there was a blind man walking reeeaaallly close to the curb and he probably could feel the bus which was just right beside him and he was shouting out "IS THIS 74 OR 157?" i din see him there until after abt 3 seconds after he appeared i think and pple just looked at him (?!?!) so i literally jumped off my seat and went to talk to him and asked him which bus he was taking-
me:hello!this is 157. which bus are u waiting for?"
blindman:52
me: oh ok. do you want to sit?
blindman: yes.
me: ok come i bring you to sit.
and after that he was playing with his memory card and he was talking about how there was alot of his favourite things in the card. at first, i thought he was talking to himself and so i just sat beside him and listened, but not replying. then the next bus came, and he said:
blindman: is this 74?
me: yup
blindman: is it the same bus as 157?
me: yes!
wow and he was telling me about how the engines (this is amazing) sound the same, and he wondered why they sounded the same for buses 157 74 and 165 so i explained that there were double decker aircon, non-aircon, single decker, etc. was really cool talking to him, because i saw God's grace in this blind man. giving him an extraordinary gift of hearing to take over his sight, and he could tell the difference in bus numbers from the sound of the engine, and by merely sitting at the busstop feeling the cool air of the airconditionned bus. i was amazed..
so everytime a bus came by i asked him to guess what number it was! was really fun i think he enjoyed playing the game he smiled when i told him he was right, and was confused when i told him he was wrong!and as we talked he also explained to me about his memory card, and he asked me if all memory cards were this small. he was feeling it like really really meticulously and i told him that there are smaller ones, and he said: "those need the adaptor right?" and i explained to him that yup smaller memory cards needed adapting catridges to adapt them to computers. and i told him to keep his memory card properly or else it might get lost, and he kept quiet...
and after 10 seconds he felt his way for a zip on his bag and slotted the memory card very very very safely in..
(=
and after a while 93 CAME!but i decided before that when i was talking to him, that i would wait for his bus to come by again. 52 had just left when he came, and i knew we would haf to wait for at least another 15 mins..so we waited...and waited..and talked, and guessed bus numbers, and i explained to him what the sharp part of the memory card was for, and told him that it's not easy to repair the card if the sharp part (=gold metallic part for those of us who can see) is destroyed.
and after like 20 minutes or so, 52 came! and i helped him up the bus and he kep saying "no more already?no more already ah?" i din really get that when he said it so i said a cheery "bye bye!" before the doors closed...
then i realise that maybe he meant "no more talking to me\you already ah?"
:(
so i reached church late, but i was glad i did what i did. i saw God's grace and abundant providence for His people. though many times i struggle with reasoning with myself about why some pple get diseases/die/are in poverty/are blind/are deaf etc and others are/do not, i realise that God is still good..
and He makes all things beautiful in His time.
so today, i learned about goodness. and i pray that the Lord help me to be good-natured.
