all in a tooth's worth
well i went for surgery to remove/extract/pluck my wisdom tooth today. as those of you who have had your wisdom tooth extracted by surgery before would know, this is a rather uncomfortable and nerve-wrecking experience. however judging by my knowledge of the people who frequent this blog, i don't think that's a common experience. so, i'll describe my today for you:)
my today would have been impossible without yesterday (-_-) when i went to doc loh for an x-ray, and he decided that i needed surgery to remove my lower left wisdom tooth. knowingall most dentists are $$ and they don't often see $ as a problem(haha okay im being judgemental here), he referred me to the head snr consultant of abcdefgh(if you are smart you will know which hospital).
so i was supposed to come in for consultation today. mind you, consultation often refers to the waiting for 1+hour followed by a less-than-5-minutes session with the doctor followed by wastage of a pair of gloves-at most plus some tissue and water and a platic cup- and then the payment of often large sums of $$$$. however, it turned out that i had to pay only $22 for consultation and...
FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY DOLLARS for immediate surgery. but thanks to the govt's adequate planning of the welfare of us children, i could use MEDISAVE:)
so i waited for another two hours before it was my turn. i felt kinda relaxed when i walked into the room. but when everything started, i kinda freaked out.
nurse:okay im gonna prepare you for surgery
me:okie!(sounding really excited)
doc:im going to give you the injection first ah
me:ok
doc:ok this is going to hurt abit!
me:orh
then she gave me 2 injections which din hurt alot compared to the ones i got during my orthodontics treatment. nevertheless, i still cried. HAH UNCONDITIONED REFLEX.
then the nurses started wiping my cheeks and chin with alcohol and the draped the surgery cloth over me and applied moisturizer over my lips so that they won't crack when i open my mouth for the procedure. all these left me looking like this(i think)-

the sacrifices i make
then everything went REALLY quickly but it was really quite frightening cuz i couldn't see anything. my hands were sweating like mad! first she probably sliced/chop/cut my gums then she decided that it was time for MORE anaesthesia she put 2 or 3 more jabs then she TOOK OUT A SAW OR STH AND STARTED SAWING MY TOOTH. zomg when i heard the machine i wanted to cry luckily i couldn't see it or i prob would have fainted. so i felt lots of movement and random poking and cracking i could feelthe tooth part of the tooth dropping near my throat. wah can u imagine if i swallowed it wah is well done man. and throughout the process i could feel blood dripping onto my tongue and my throat wah the feeling is horrible man i felt like vommitting a million times.
okay then after like 5 mins she said "ok it's done!" and the nurses removed the drape cloth and i was almost blinded by the lights man wah hello this kind of thing must slowly remove one lorh.
then it was rest time and change gauze time. and my traumatic experience was OVER. and i looked so beautiful when i walked out i think all the guys in the clinic fell for me-

and my tooth looked like this-

ok then it was home sweet home:)
today all i had was some toothpaste, bread, one boiled egg, water, amoxyxillin, etoricoxib, metronidazole, dexamethasone, blood, saliva. and it's alrd 8pm now. and if you're sane, all that equates to bread and one egg.
at this rate, i will lose my 1000 kg in 3 days. HAH:)
actually, not all's bad! when i brought tasha down just now i got lots of glances and stares from ADULTS. hmm i wonder why people like to make other pple feel bad/embarrassed about themselves when it's OBVIOUS that they're already feeling paiseh. WHY. EVERYONE, PLEASE DON'T PURPOSELY MAKE PPLE FEEL EMBARRASSED CAN IT'S REALLY A VERY MEAN THING TO DO>:( ok back to the "not all's bad" part- i think walking around with a gauze sticking out of my mouth earns me more second glances from people. maybe it makes me look kinda, attractive. i think maybe one day i should really walk down town looking like

oh well so there goes my impacted wisdom tooth #38!
